It has control over the public's beliefs, and all aspects of daily life. They have a caste system and a dictator which are both characteristics of totalitarianism. The most obvious example is that the Brave New World focuses on becoming perfect. Excellence is the absolute goal and they are achieving what they believe to be perfection.
