In the play Macbeth Shakespeare uses many reoccurring symbols which eventually become easier and easier for the reader to spot as the play goes on. The symbols are not just random either they are chosen for specific reasons that make the play all that much better. An image and symbol that are used frequently during Macbeth is that of blood and Macbeth being and owl.

to devise a plot and escape punishment by not getting caught. However, he does not follow his wisdom because earlier in the play he wisely decided to not kill Duncan, but he goes against his wisdom when Lady Macbeth influences him to kill Duncan.
When Shakespeare's work is analyzed one can see the many reasons why he may use certain symbols and images and how they are able to enhance the play by their use.
