America is said to be the land of opportunity and choice, but in the past instances have inferred that at one point in time, everyone's rights were being denied or dispirited. The Emancipation Proclamation, "I Have a Dream", and the Lovings vs. Virginia are all events that took place in order to reinstate people's rights or that showed people's rights being denied. I chose these three articles because they all meant something to me, because I felt in my heart each of these were groundbreaking things in our history.
