blacks to the evils of the white man and urge them to reclaim their strong, proud blackness. Maybe nothing can be done; maybe no one wants or needs anything to be done. So what if black people pour out their pocket books, burn their scalps and fry their hair in order to fit into what "we" think is beautiful? They've been doing it for so long, why bother changing? It is after all, only hair.
