Firestarter by Stephen King;A Brave New World by Aldus Huxley. Altering genes for better or for worse always is going to get both negative and positive reactions. Both Stephen King and Aldus Huxley's books deal with genetic alteration. Stephen King has been more of a horror writer, whereas Aldus Huxley writes mainly on scientific satire. …showed last 75 words of 1062 total…that do fail are eliminated, in A Brave New World the Epsilons are just led to brain-dead work where as in Firestarter the people that have problems with the gene alteration in the experiment are killed off or "disappear." Another similarity is both experiments are run by a "crazy" doctor or director. All in all, both were great reads and there will be many great books that can be so different that they are similar.
