Bacillus Anthracis, while Bubonic is caused by the bacterium Yersinia Pestis, which contains bacillus shaped bacteria. Like the Bubonic Plague was probably spread by rats, Anthrax is spread by cattle and other plant-eating mammals, but it also affects humans who come in contact with the infected animals.
