They are looking for better ways to detect, prevent, and treat the people diagnosed. These researchers, who have been looking for a cure, or at best, better treatment for many years. There are many other possibilities that a cancer patient has, I am just describing the, who, what, why, when, how; and my personal experiences. "You did not choose to be a cancer patient. Right now not having cancer is not and option." (Hoffman pg, 101) In spite of the devastating illness that is cancer, I hope that this begins to explain the difficulties, the dreams, and the hopes that these unfortunate people have.
