The return trip was quite rough, most of the crew were sick and 4 of the 6 Indians he brought with him, died. Columbus and his small band arrived in Palos de la Frontera on March 15th after stopping in Lisbon for repairs. Banquets and celebrations were held in our honor, and we felt that we were the first men who discovered a new world.
