When the human eye sees a word or an object, it uses a network of detectors, organized in layers, going from the least complex to the most. Feature nets explain how we recognize what we see in a speedy and efficient fashion. They allow us to recognize what we need to without having to think for a lengthy period of time, in order to identify what we see.
