Police Stereotype The events of the last decade have caused many changes in law enforcement. The perceptions of what a police officer does, or should do, have mutated. Is it our courage to respond to accidents where people have become unrecognizable? Is it our determination to chase, investigate and actively pursue individuals most people would rather run from? The police perform all these duties knowing that the media are poised, ready to pounce on the slightest slip from the straight and narrow path we must walk.
