is apparent that the current educational paradigm has failed in it's attempt to educate students to become informed citizens capable of making the wheels of democracy turn. There is no risk in attempting to give students the tools needed to make informed decisions about their lives. A well-educated, empowered group of students who are ready to make changes in their decisions about politics and in their economic system may be exactly what our democracy needs.
