Many descriptions have been given of hell; however, Dante's portrayal of this pit of anguish puts hell into a different perspective for myself. The way he separates hell into different degrees to make the emphasis on the scale of the sin committed, the image of the sinners and how they are placed into hell coinciding with the sin they performed, and the fact that I was able to get an eye opening new view on hell makes Dante's Inferno a enchanting poem that will be considered a classic as long as people read.
