I decided to do my reaction paper on the "Depression's Double Standard" that I found of interest to me. Many of my family have at one time or another have experienced a depressive state and I did not know the basis for the cause. I often thought they were making excuses to hide something or to get attention and affection.

In conclusion, I enjoyed reading the article about depression and after some thought into the subject; I conclude that researchers still have much work ahead of themselves to truly find the key to depression. I certainly am no expert on depression but an expert on the affects of depression in the family. My original analogies of my family members are false and I hope they continue to seek help and professional counseling.
