I agree with Descartes' statement. In order to experience the world in its entirety, we must be able think. Without the ability to reason, human beings are just another animal.

discovery is a cornerstone of our educational system.
In summary, we must think in order to truly be alive. Our brains are powerful machines and humans should take great pride in learning how to use the brain in new innovative brains and maximize our potential. But, tragically the brain is sometimes held back by circumstances out of an individual's control. These afflictions and diseases should not be the determining factor of someone's state of "being."
