Amplitude is harder to measure because of the need for formulas, so I'll refrain from that torture. Well, that's pretty much it in a nutshell, if you want to learn more pickup the book The Car Stereo Cookbook by Mark Rumreich. I read it a few years ago and I found it to be a pretty comprehensive manuscript for any audiophile.
