Federalism is the division of powers between a national or central government and local authorities. The Constitution divides powers between the national and state governments. of their hard work not the federal government. The federal government makes decisions on what they feel is the best they rarely consider the citizens their laws and bills affect. Tobacco farmers are going bankrupt while the national government keeps raising taxes and therefore the tobacco farmers are continuously losing money. Many farmers have been farmers all of their lives and farming has been their livelihood, why should the federal government interfere with their jobs.
