Napoleon Bonaparte would lead the country into war and although unsuccessful in the end, he gave the French more freedom, liberty, and education. His legacy spread the enlightenment and gave the country a backbone for the future. Absolutism would soon be rejected after his leadership and the country had a new foundation.
