Michael Quint's father, Andre was told by his parents that they were going out. Going out to the movies, with his uncle and aunt, and everyone was specially preparing for the event. Having never heard of the movie, the Bridge, Andre was still excited, but confused by the solemn faces of his family.

seemed accurate and ironically possible. The storytelling was vivid and heart wrenching. The author's own words make the narrative extremely pleasant to read.
Even though the ending of the book was depressing in a way, it was also poignant and moving. Because it is the truth, the book's finale is preferable to any other conclusion, simply because it is the reality of life.
