Without government oversight in corporate finances executives in positions of power and influence will continue to cheat the system. Billions and billions of dollars are lost or slip through the cracks because of the lack of oversight. Not only is more oversight needed but stronger penalties need to be imposed.

<Tab/>The bottom line is that integrity and trust are at the core of a successfully functioning market system, and recent business scandals have severely damaged faith in our economy. I remain optimistic, however, and hopes that the current administration will help correct this problem. By doing so it will help restore faith in our system by ensuring greater accountability in corporate management and accounting.
