3000 years ago, the Egyptians enslaved the Israelites. Moses, a simple Jewish shepherd, was instructed by God to free the Israelites. As a result, the Church confirmed the meaning of the real presence and transubstantiation. The Second Vatican Council, commencing in the 1060's, reaffirmed furthermore the Eucharist' meaning and also put much emphasis on the Eucharist as a meal of the community.
