But, unluckily for him they begin to make him feel cocky and his confidence grows leading him to make the wrong decisions. This eventually ends up in his death, so for somebody that started off brave and kind his cockiness got the better of him. The witches' predictions were the rise and fall of Macbeth. They sparked his downfall and he couldn't control it so his downfall continued.
