Key Environmental Legislation There are many aspects of the environment that federal agencies take into consideration while they keep key aspects in tighter focus. Key areas include air quality, energy, land use and conservation, noise control, pesticides, solid waste management, toxic substances, water quality, wildlife conservation and other general environmental legislation. Each of these areas of focus has the ability to diminish or invigorate the quality of life. That is why it is imperative for the government to legislate and enforce the necessary rules. From minuscule areas of concern, such as noise control, to the areas of much concern, such as land use regulation, all of these categories are a part of key environmental legislation.
