Lord of the flies is about a bunch of children who are stranded on an island with absolutely no adults, meaning no civilization or order. The conch gives the children regulations to follow, shows that consistent teamwork is vital and in order to remain as humans and not become hungry animals the children must use the conch to keep civilization alive in this self built society.
