Louisa May Alcott is probably one of the most famous writers that ever walked this planet. She goes down in the record books with greats such as William Shakespeare, J.R.R. Tolkien, and many others that are writing geniuses.
Louisa May Alcott was born on her father's thirty third birthday, November 29, 1832, to Amos and Abigail Alcott in Germantown, Pennsylvania. She was the second born and the most mischievous of the two. Her father thought

In 1882 her father had a stroke and could no longer continue his career as a philosopher. Louisa sold the house and moved her

family to Boston. On March 6, 1888, at the age of fifty-five, Louisa May Alcott died from pneumonia and other diseases. Her father had died only three days earlier. She was buried at Concord's Sleepy Hollow Cemetery; not far from the resting places of her dear friends Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau.
