Though I do not total agree with my Great Uncles policies, he certainly was a shaping force for the province. As Premier, he introduced updated, trend-setting laws and fought against inequality and intolerance. Confronting entrenched interests, and economic disparity, he built bridges between French and English, between rich and poor, and between the northern and the southern regions of the province. His efforts have forever shaped New Brunswick.
