Oedipus was like an idol to some, and a "failure" to others. His "myth" blends reality with moral responsibility, teaching us to watch out for our actions and still live life in a fun way! It is directly proven, through dialogue and interpretation, that the cause of his "tragic flaw" is because of his actions, which may have been influenced by his daily "atmosphere".
