very well written and does a great portrayal of a totalitarian or communist government. It is also a great representation of the Soviet Union under Stalin and Germany under Hitler. Animal Farm, also by George Orwell, is a book somewhat similar to this. Readers that enjoyed Animal Farm, and like Sci-Fi or historical books would probably like 1984 the most.
