However, we can't grow up expecting that we won't see it almost everywhere, nor can we believe it to be a completely evil thing. It's just a fact of life and something that's built into human nature. If the US tried to teach kids that some forms of discrimination are okay, then naturally the whole system comes crashing down. An overprotective mom creates a reasonably responsible child. A reasonably responsible mom creates a less disciplined child. (Once again, there are exceptions) It's all an effort to create a balance to counter the evil and greed of the world.
