However, after thinking deeply about this issue, I realized I have more logic to answer, "No." I feel relatives should not partake in witnessing the execution of their family member's attacker for several reasons. More emotional trauma might occur after the execution for those family members. And the state would have to spend even more money than originally so the family members can achieve their "closure" by witnessing someone being put to death. All these reasons are why I do not feel family members should be present at an execution.
