Disch is wrong to say that the upper class will be offended by this play. They might be satisfied because of the transformation of Ouisa throughout the play. In the beginning of the play, she said she wants to see the poorest of the poor suffer and how they make friends like it is a partnership. Paul changed Ouisa and she stopped judging people based on class or money and more based on personality.
