I believe Mackie looked too hard for a black and white answer, and it is hard enough to guess the intentions or causing factors in some of our own actions. If given the power of one wish to put peace on Earth for eternity without the knowledge required, I just might wish for something I know the consequences of. It is not something we can prove or DISPROVE. It is something meaningful to believe in.
