The Growth of Sparta
When looking at the Spartans of the Greek world there are two major aspects that shape them. War and expansion to the social change within the Spartan's boundaries and polis. The two combined aspects helped Sparta achieve greater influence and power in the Greek World. They were now becoming a great group and one that was feared because of their desire to become one.

also another purpose to their regimen. It was quite important for them to show that they had the dedication and moral conduct to their city. This did not differ them form the other communities in the Greek world but like in everything else I think that they took this a lot more personally. In all, the Spartans seemed very oppressive, but through this Sparta became more and more powerful and respected throughout the Greek world.
