There is much controversy surrounding stem cell research. Stem cells are cells that are not greatly different and thus may be used to produce daughter cells of other types. Stem cell research is the study of using cells from aborted fetuses to create skeletal, neurological, or cardio tissue through certain techniques that stimulate cell growth. This tissue can then be transplanted into a patient who is in need of it by replacing the damaged cells.

In conclusion, there are advantageous and disadvantageous traits in favor and in opposition of stem cell research. A combination of the beliefs is superior, compromising both arguments and still achieving the desired results. Eventually, chronic diseases can be cured using stem cells without having to kill unborn children, and still save lives around the globe.
