Coming from an ethnic background, I can say that growing up with stereotypes is difficult and sometimes overwhelming. Although I know that I have overcome these stereotypes and gained the respect of my peers, there are some people who still have not. We, as a society must ensure them a safe and easy childhood and adolescent stage.
