That life is a series of challenges is axiomatic. But not all of life's challenges are equal. Some are more daunting, more enervating, just more life draining than others. My latest Everest is an English Composition Course I'm taking at the Community College.
First, let me say that I'm borderline moronic. If more need be said, be it also known that I'm beyond the border of illiterate. Not in the sense that I cannot read.

They sound okay. Right? Unfortunately, this and similar views on other issues related to grammar and mechanics are not shared by my Professor, who never hesitates to point out each and every transgression in bold red ink.
So I guess I'll just consider my self the Sir Edmund Hillary of the essay for the next 15 weeks and try to survive the perils of climbing the steep and slippery slopes of new ideas and old rules.
