Betrayal, hysteria, intolerance and death are all themes portrayed through out the movie adaptation of The Crucible. Narrow mindedness, deception, betrayal and paranoia are all a means to an end. Until we can open our minds and accept one another we will continue in the vicious cycle of our own self-deprecation. And so The Crucible is a reminder of what can happen when we let our minds run wild.
