<Tab/>I did enjoy reading The Scarlet Letter, but at times I didn`t enjoy reading it at all. Some times it felt like the chapters would drag on and on, and my mind would wonder. I would have to reread paragraphs and pages because I was bored, the point Hawthorne was trying to get across, or I just didn`t understand some of the words. He

to listen to others' ideas, and helped to widen my views of things that I never really thought of before. In class discussions, my view of everything widened and it helped for me to start thinking in a different way from what I had normally done before. Reading other people`s thoughts on the book, from the handouts was interesting, it was nice to see sometimes that I shared the same opinions as other people.
