This essay is a four page review about my opinion of the horror film "The Shining" and the confusion it caused me. Without a strong plot, interesting twist, or strong characters a movie will fail. The Shining has its fair share of ups and downs in those areas, in my opinion, so I have settled on complete middle ground. Viewer confusion can make or break a movie and this case is a perfect example of that.
