This poem is extremely effective, it's very clever though, it has a good pace and an upsetting tone, the poet, (Simon Armitage) has written this poem very well. Some poet's use rhyming to express things, and some poet's use pace, But Simon Armitage has used imagery, mainly, and very well too. It's created a real sense of loss and an atmosphere of sadness in this poem, and it has been beautifully expressed.
