the opinions of voters. Voters do this for the same reason they would listen to a candidate's statements, to get an idea of what the candidate would do when he/she gets into office, and looking at the candidates "silly personal characteristics" can give them that idea. Bianco would definitely respond like this to Johnson's statement because Bianco believes that all (or most) people are "Rational Actors", as he wrote in his essay many times.
