Ultimately, though the battle between society and Kingston still rages on, Kingston essentially resembles a fresh, new, and modern "Fa Mu Lan." From conquering childhood fears and finding her voice in her writing, Kingston has overcome many of life's struggles. There will inevitably be more battles that Kingston must fight in and with every success she will no doubt conquer yet another reader who has been blown away by her powerful and compelling words.
